Over the course of two years, you’ll
- Become a highly skilled engineer, with a key role to play in developing, maintaining and optimising our technological infrastructure
- Enjoy being part of a core team, delivering cutting edge solutions for the bank, positively impacting the way we work, driving efficiencies and boosting our effectiveness
- Help us take a digital-first approach when developing new products and services, while continuing to enhance existing ones and providing software support to our teams around the world
- Design, test, and maintain the technology and systems that support our global teams in their day-to-day work, and enable the delivery of change programmes and new applications
- Work with other engineers, architects, and colleagues across the business to understand and drive the product or service’s direction
- Help create and build solutions to meet specific needs across the business, that can be seamlessly deployed around the globe and are simple to support
What You’ll Learn
We’ll help you develop the technical skills most relevant to your role. We’ll also provide plenty of opportunities to advance your non-technical skills, like communication and collaboration, that will help you move your career forward successfully.
During your time on the programme, you’ll:
- Work with the latest Code Frameworks, Languages and AI capabilities and get hands-on training to learn modern DevOps practices
- Learn how to monitor performance metrics for various production systems, identify root causes for technical issues and recommend solutions
- Discover the importance of collaboration and how best to leverage other people’s skills while working as part of a broader team
- Continually enhance core skills such as programming, debugging and code readability
- Develop specialist skills in areas such as front end, development, security, testing, and operational support
- Have plenty of other opportunities to develop your skills, and people to support you along the way, ensuring that you’re well prepared for the future

Requirements
- Available to work full time from July 2025 onwards
- Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.2/4.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent 2.1 Degree from a recognised University (as appears on your official University Transcript or Degree Certificate)
- Fluent in English. Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential
- Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong
