GENERAL PURPOSEThe Risk Manager develops, implements, and administers Box Elder County’s comprehensive risk management, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and claims management programs. Under the direction of the County Attorney, the position identifies and mitigates operational, financial, safety, employment, and liability risks affecting County operations. The Risk Manager serves as the County’s primary resource for workplace safety, OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation administration, liability claims management, insurance program coordination, employment-related risk reduction, safety training, emergency preparedness, and organizational riskassessment.
