The Sloan Sports Analytics Conference Mentorship Program is focused on graduate students, undergraduate students, and those early in their career (within 5 years of graduation) with interest in a sports career. The Sloan Sports Analytics Conference is committed to elevating and broadening inclusion in sports by creating opportunities for those who may not otherwise have access to similar mentorship. Accordingly, we encourage applications from individuals who have experienced challenges in their path, including, for example, students who come from low socioeconomic means, attended institutions with low admittance rates to top-tier colleges, or were the first in their family to attend college, as well as applicants who have devoted substantial time to service advancing diversity and inclusion in their communities.

This is an application-based program, and selected candidates will receive:

  • One ticket to attend the 20th Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.

  • Dedicated conference programming specific to the mentorship program. We’ve been hosted by local sports organizations including the Red Sox, TD Garden, and Draft Kings.

  • Mentorship pairing with a senior professional in the sports industry for 6 months

  • Networking opportunities with other mentees and mentors, career advice panels, and skill-building workshops through in-person/virtual programming

⚠️ Please note: Participation in the mentorship program requires in-person attendance at the 20th Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, MA. Remote participation is not possible, and no exceptions will be made.

This application is due November 17th 11:59 PM EST. Accepted program participants will be notified in early January at the latest. If you would like to secure a ticket to the conference regardless of your acceptance into the program, please purchase a ticket.
